Noel A Ferguson is an expert in the field of Employee Engagement,
Engaging Leadership and Organizational Culture and Change, a Guru with the
Engage for Success Movement and a Fellow of the Institute of Direct
Marketing. He is the originator of the concept of Employee Intelligence
and the founding Director of the company of the same name.
In addition he is also the founder and Executive Chairman of the Institute of One World Leadership www.owls.global
Ranked in the top 0.1% of Leadership and Management Experts on Social media with over 150,000 followers across his media streams, he is actively involved in developing the concept of Engaging Leadership and the factors which create a Leader with such calibre. These include the areas of authenticity, inspiration, communication, integrity, humanity, coaching and accessibility.
He began his career with the postal giant Royal Mail in the United Kingdom where he displayed an ability to harness the use of Information Technology to improve Business Processes. Consequently he was appointed to the Royal Mail'sTask Force to overhaul its core address and marketing systems. Subsequently he was appointed to roles in operations, marketing and customer management.
His aptitude for Management and Leadership was quickly spotted, gaining rapid promotion and within 5 years was appointed as Senior Manager within the Royal Mail Consultancy Services Business. There he was responsible for undertaking multi-million pound UK wide Change management Programmes, covering areas from technology implementation; improving the skills, capabilities and competency development of managers and employees; and driving Employee engagement. It was from this experience that he developed the concept of Employee Intelligence.
In the late 1990's Noel identified the potential to automate the use of employee opinion surveys using online delivery, with a focus on overcoming the limiting factors of cross-sectional studies, such as their historic nature. He viewed them as having minimal use in guiding an organization'sfuture strategic development. He therefore developed the online E-assessment engine and concept of Employee Intelligence, creating proprietary algorithms to enable longitudinal analysis of organizational attitudes and competencies, and the application of affective forecasting.
After launching Employee Intelligence, he continued to undertake roles and advisory positions in his pursuit of improving organizational capability, working with Multinational Businesses at C-Level to assess and guide Organizational Capability. This included working with Government Ministers and senior officials to influence government policy in the UK.
In 2013 Noel extended the concept of Employee Intelligence into the area of Employer Intelligence. This manifested in the launch of the online service www.KeepTheBossFireTheBoss.com as a career management portal. This enables employees of any company to use similar affective forecasting to plan and manage their personal careers.
From 2013 until 2016, while consulting internationally and travelling globally, Noel observed the commonality of man, and the realisation that the commonality of difference makes us all equal. He recognised a need for the world to embrace and encourage the development of Leaders; Leaders with Positive Values, who understood that with One World and One Chance, intercultural and international cooperation is critical for success and survival. He launched the Institute of One World Leadership www.owls.global as a consequence in 2016.
He is a graduate of the Open University Business School having studied Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Masters in Business Administration. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing and holds the Office of Government Commerce's (OGC) Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Qualification.
